History and facts

Avia Solutions Group Arena was the first international-standard multi-purpose arena in Lithuania and now hosts major entertainment, sports and business events, such as concerts by world and local music stars, various international sports competitions, performances, theatrical shows, business seminars and congresses. 

Avia Solutions Group Arena was built in just 12 months and opened its doors to visitors on October 30, 2004. The arena was designed by "Jungtinės Architektų Dirbtuvės" and "Stadium Consultants International", which are both globally recognized experts in arena design.

Avia Solutions Group Arena is part of the Avia Solutions Group family, the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider, with a fleet of 199 aircraft. The group also provides a range of aviation services including MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), pilot and crew training, ground handling, as well as a variety of associated services. Sports Building of the Year

In 2004, "Avia Solutions Group" arena was named Lithuanian Sports Building of the Year

European Basketball Championship

In 2004, the arena won the right to organize the 2011 Men’s European Basketball Championship

The Superbrands Title

In the end of 2007 the arbitrator of international product brands Superbrands awarded "Avia Solutions Group" arena as one of the most valuable brands in Lithuania

AIR CONDITIONING

The arena is equipped with a 2,480 kW air conditioning system. That is powerful enough to ventilate more than 310 standard 2-bedroom flats

ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT

The maximum power of the electrical equipment installed at the arena is 5,200 kW. That is enough electricity to light approximately 300 km of streets

THE HEATING SYSTEM

The arena’s 7,230 kW heating system could heat approximately 535 standard 2-bedroom flats

THE VENTILATION SYSTEM

When working at full capacity, the ventilation system completely replaces the air in the building every 26 minutes
